Welcome to EAA Chapter 565, located on Punta Gorda Airport (KPGD) in beautiful Southwest Florida.
We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like-minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

The special meeting on March 1 was very well attended, with an interesting presentation by guest speaker Dave McElroy on his fundraising flight in his RV6 around the Americas. The 2-month trip raised over $500,000 for Hope Air. To see the photos by Scott Sorenson, please use the link on the sidebar. For more information on Dave's trip and Hope Air, visit the Give Hope Wings website.
Thanks to a great team of volunteers, this was one of the Chapter's most successful events ever! To see photos, click on the Photo Albums link on the sidebar, and navigate to the Ford Tri-motor album. All photos by Scott Sorenson. See the article by Carol Cooke on the EAA blog.
